Looking back on my own childhood, I can't help but reminisce about the days spent with my pony. Leafing through my old photo album, I long for more than just the snapshots I took with my old film camera—images that were often out of focus or poorly composed. Thankfully, today's technology allows us to capture countless images with our phones. However, a bittersweet truth remains: many of these digital memories remain hidden, untouched, and unprinted.
I confess, like many others, I'm guilty of neglecting my digital photos. They sit idly on various devices or stored away in drawers, awaiting their fate. The fear of losing these cherished memories due to outdated technology or unforeseen failures looms over us. It's a disheartening thought, isn't it?
That's where the true magic lies in my work—transforming professional, digital memories into tangible, physical products. Sometimes getting keepsake images of your kids, epecially tween or teenage kids can be a real pain. It’s so “lame” to them to have to pose for normal “family pictures.” But I have the advantage, I’m a pet photographer, and girls have an unshakable bond with their ponies and can not only see the value in having these images taken, but they feel much more comfortable in front of my lens when their best friend is with them for the experience. Imagine the delight of seeing that special image every morning while sipping your coffee or sharing a cup of tea with a friend. I have yet to meet a client who regrets having professional images taken of their beloved pets, especially when their treasured companions have since passed.
