Your Photographer

Hi There! I’m Julie Addison.

True Animal Lover, Tea Drinker and Photographer.

I haven’t come from a long line of photographers. In fact, I worked in Admin for most of my early career including Customer Service and various other roles in Local Government.

I worked as a Ranger in Local Government for 11 years and ran my own dog training business for 9 years. I loved helping families keep their misunderstood dogs with them and out of shelters.

Random, but I even tried underground mining for a few years!

I grew up country, in a town with a population of 500 people. My days were filled with sunshine, animals, friends and freedom. Climbing trees, riding horses, sport, riding bikes, roller skating and building cubby houses. I drank out of the hose, was always barefoot and was continually told “Inside Voice Julie, you’re not in the paddock now”.

My laugh scares babies in the womb! But I am honest and authentic, I love fiercely and I am very loyal to loved ones. I’m 100% NOT a drama llama. Life is too short for that nonsense!

I have had horses half my life and my family owned a dairy farm, so I grew up in “play clothes” and spent almost all my time outside.

I still spend my time in “play clothes” and go barefoot as often as possible.

My relaxed, fun-loving and sometimes cheeky personality puts people at ease and I know from being photographed myself, you all want that one image for Grandma, but the rest of your images you want true connection, fun, authentic moments with your animals and your family.

I imagine you’re here because you might have seen my work and feel the same way.

I can work my magic with any pet. I specialise in dogs and horses. Not trained, a bit wild, or even reactive or with a bite history. With my years of experience, I’ve got you covered.

I am someone who has spent years working with dogs and horses and therefore can create the most relaxed and fun session, while still crafting images you will proudly hang on your walls.

If I sound like your kind of person, don’t be shy, flick me an email.
