Limeburner Grove Wedding Venue
I recently contacted Rick from Limeburner Grove Wedding Venue to view their property for pet photo shoots. While Rick was showing me around their gorgeous property, he told me about the history of the property with his two young boys in tow. Rick and his wife Megan have had the property 3 years now.
Limeburner Grove is famous for its glorious kiln and stunning grove of Karri trees. Karri trees are native to Albany and were once thick throughout Albany. However, the trees were cut down to build Albany town.
While touring the property, I asked Rick about their animals. He mentioned they have an English Bull Terrier, Henry. His in-laws; who also live on the property, have an English Staffy named Alfie and they have pet sheep - Bobo, Grandad, Lemon, Lime and Alex.
I asked if Rick and his family might be interested in a photo shoot as I would like to find the best light and best places to photograph on the property and it would be great to have some images for a location guide to give to my pet parents.
Rick and his wife, Megan agreed, so we set a date and out I came. We were blessed with a lovely sunny afternoon.
We got some great images of the dogs, as individuals and together having fun.
These two beautiful doggos having a blast together.
We got some great family shots with and without the dogs. <3
This stunning wooden pathway is a perfect place for family images.
Fun in the beautiful light in the grove.
The last part of the shoot was spent with the sheep. These beautiful sheep are very much members of the family. The boys really enjoy feeding them lupins at any given opportunity.
This stunning venue would be prefect for a dog or horse photo shoot. This is private property, so if you don’t particularly want people watching your photo session, which can happen in public spaces; or your dog is people or dog reactive, this is the perfect location.
Limeburner Grove is also perfect for a horse shoot if we discover the property you keep your horse on is not suitable for a golden hour photo shoot.
There is a fee required to be paid for the use of Limeburners Grove, however, for peace of mind, or peace and quiet that you won’t get in a public space - this venue is perfect for your pet photo shoot. Of course, Saturday photo sessions may not be available, as this is a wedding venue. I would imagine with some prior planning and booking, we should be able to get you in for a weeknight shoot.
